Resource for Eagle Families
What does PSG do?
|
PSG = Parent Support GroupThe PSG is an integral part of the student and staff educational enrichment. They support the teachers and staff, enrich the educational experiences of the students, work to improve the school and build a strong and supportive school community.
The Eagle Elementary Parent Support Group works closely with the principal and teachers to learn what will make their schools better, then they find ways to help make those improvements.
This past year, the PSG was able purchase laptops and other educational tools to enrich Eagle student and staff instruction. In the past the PSG has contributed towards the purchase of new iPads, playground equipment and upgraded dry erase boards in every classroom. We work hard to grant special requests that benefit every student at Eagle Elementary. In addition to supporting our school, the Eagle Elementary PSG also supports fundraising events benefiting two local charities. Every February, the staff and students spend a week collecting money for Riley Children’s Hospital. This usually involves fun contests and spirit week activities for the kids. In March, proceeds from our Donuts for Dad and Mornings with Mom events go to the Eagle Elementary Relay for Life team. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of most months, 6:30 pm in the Eagle Media Center. Meetings approximately 90 mins and provide a forum to discuss upcoming events, results of previous events, new ideas to help support the school, and the current needs and wishes of the school. |
